Is an inexpensive way to give your party a stylish whimsical look.
I have been trying to practice to use what I have before going out to purchase anything for an event. Every decorator knows the fun part is going shopping for props. So I looked around my craft room to see what color scheme I was going to use, there were teal paper flower embellishments I had bought a while ago from Michaels they are used for scrapbooking. I also had yellow and tealscrapbook paper. The Buffett has a whimsical/vintage look so I choose to serve lemonade, so that’s the direction I decided to head for (yellow, teal, vintage, whimsical).
Now for the shopping (yes!) light pink dowels Michaels sale section, chalk board sign, stripe brown straws, jars were from Walmart hint (great budget friendly favors) along with the burlap banner and the yellow twine they complemented the burlap lace ribbon from hobby lobby that was on sale %50 off wahoo! I love a good sale. Lemon bowl, blue candle stand, glass drink fountain, and large paper flower (made by me) was from my inventory.
I made this paper flower out of scrapbook paper. Adding the stripe blue scrapbook paper was a interesting contrast with the solid colors. The paper flower helped give the drink bar a whimsical POP!!.I punched out 2inch circles and embellished them with paper flowers.
The flowers were also used to give the straws, lace ribbon and pink dowels a colorful vintage look. Decorating these mason jars was so fun.
